It’s about the one.
One By One is a Christian humanitarian aid ministry aiming to relieve poverty to the poorest of the poor while spreading the gospel message. Founded in 2011, One By One has offices in the UK and the USA but does the majority of its work in Kenya and Sri Lanka. The ministry’s heart is simple – to help those in need while showing the love of God. One By One is a registered UK charity and a non-profit organisation in the USA.
One By One started as the humanitarian department of Shake The Nations, the evangelistic ministry of Evangelist Nathan Morris. Initially named Shake The Nations One By One, the team would host children’s gospel outreaches and feeding programmes alongside Nathan’s evangelistic campaigns. In 2011, One By One became its own entity and has worked in Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, India and Sri Lanka, as well as speaking at churches and conferences throughout the UK and America.
Becky Murray always had a love for the poor and wanted to be a missionary, even as a small child. But it wasn’t until the age of 18, through doing short-term missions trips, that her passion began to increase. On a visit to Sierra Leone in 2006 – when a nine-year-old girl assumed Becky wanted sexual favours from her after she had bought her a pair of shoes – she realised she wanted to give her life for the lost and broken worldwide. Becky is married to Matthew and the couple have one son, Josiah. Learn more about the Murray’s here
